Ellie = Elise, Elizabeth, Eloise, Elowen
Ella = Eleanor, Eleanora
Fran, Franny, Frankie = Frances, Francine, Francesca
Fanny = Frances
Del = Demelza, Adele, Dervila, Delphine, DellaAny others I can think of, I have to strain to think of, so they seem vaguely artificial to me

Ella is not only a nn. It is also a full name in Germany and some of the other near by European countries. It's the Norman form of the name Alia. I have a great grandma Ella whose parents were German / Dutch. Ella was a common given name during Ella's time mostly because of all the immigrants using it.Ellie, Ella, Elle-Elaheh
