His parents and little sister, Hermine, were killed in a car accident three years ago, which left him paralyzed from the waist down. He is very independent and loves to go outside. He makes friends easily and is very smart. He likes basketball and action movies. He can play the guitar and is very polite, but he doesn't like to share personal information. He sometimes blames himself for the accident or just gets depressed, but he'll get over it.

Hakim Farid, age 9: Hakim is from northern Saudi Arabia. He is Arab and speaks Arabic. He is very willing to learn English, though. He is a devout Muslim and hopes his new family will help him continue to practice it. He likes to draw and read, and also likes to play the piano, although he is not very good. Hakim is excited to come to America, but he is a bit nervous about making friends, and is afraid he won't be accepted by other kids.
Melati Cahaya, age 7: Melati is from Jakarta, Indonesia. She has dark brown hair and eyes. She speaks Bahasa Indonesia and Javanese, and some English. She is Muslim and would like to stay Muslim in America. Melati has been living on the streets for a while, and is very thin. She needs lots of nutrition and love.
Felix Tiberiu, age 5: Felix is from northern Romania. He has light brown hair and dark blue eyes. He speaks Romanian. He is Christian, but he's from no particular religion (he'll adjust well to a Roman Catholic home). Felix has been tramutized a lot in his life, and is very shy around men, though adjusts quickly to women. He likes to play with blocks and sand, and would love to try new foods in America.
Sofia Isadora, age 2: Sofia is from a small, rural community near Santiago, Chile. Her hair is dark brown and her eyes are green. She only speaks Spanish and her mother recently had to give her up because she could no longer afford enough food, clothes, etc., but would like to see her again in a few years or so. Sofia is a very sweet girl. She will eat anything and is very obediant. She loves dogs and gets along well with them.
Apolinary Daniel, infant: Apolinary is an infant from Poland. He is a bit sick, but it is treatable. He has a weak left leg that may become a limp, but otherwise he's okay. He may take longer to walk. He only has these physical development issues, as he responds to Apolinary, Polo, and Daniel. He also plays independently and with others (as much as a baby can).

Hello and thank you for completeing our family. Olivia is doing very well at school, especially science. We took her to the planetary for her birthday and she absolutely was fascinated. Having Sam with her has really helped her adjustment and Sam and Louie have become the best of friends. Anthony and Jaxon play superheros together all the time. Usually they try to get Liam to be a bad guy. When Jaxon first arrived he had tantrum within a few days and broke some of Liam's toys so it took Liam a bit longer to warm up to Jaxon than the other kids but they are truly like brothers now. Anthony has been getting extra help with math at school and has pulled his grade up a whole letter. Olivia, Anthony, and Jaxon have all made new friends. Aubrey is a year old. She is constantly on the move and loves to babble and play with the dogs. She has a fondness for animals. She is taking a few steps but she scoots and crawls everywhere. Summer Jane, age 15: Summer has dirty blonde hair and amber eyes. She's intelligent and loves to read, draw, and enjoys spending time outside, especially playing basketball. Her father was very abusive, and killed her mother. So she can be quite shy and anti-social at times, also due to her being shuffled around a lot in her childhood. On the other hand, she can be really funny, but when she gets angry, she's prone to doing dumb things. She makes friends easily once she warms up to people and she wants to pursue a career in fashion.
Daisy Scarlett, age 8: Daisy and Archie are twins. Daisy is older by two minutes. She has dark brown hair and bright blue eyes. She is very athletic and rough, when she gets angry she's prone to using her fists. She struggles with subjects such as math and reading. She loves to meet new friends and immediately loves most people. Daisy loves animals and music, always dancing and having fun. She would like to start taking dance classes, preferably in ballet, and possibly learning an instrument.
