I grew up with a lovely girl named Fallon, but she spelled it Fallan, and I prefer that spelling. I think it's a distinctive, pretty cool name, aforementioned Jimmy Fallon associations notwithstanding.

It's a little trendy, but I like it. It reminds me of fall (like the season- even though the "Fall" part doesn't really sound like "fall" in the name) and I like that it doesn't look hyper-feminine. I've met a few Fallons and a Fallyn (I don't like Fallyn-- that's definitely too trendy) but Fallon isn't bad.

I can not stand this name. I don't know if it's just my dislike of surnames being used randomly as given names, or the fact that it looks like "fall on" to me, or that it reminds me of Jimmy Fallon.... I just don't care for the name at all.
Sorry :(

I have mixed feelings about Fallon. I often find myself liking this a lot too. But when I think about it, I can't find any reason I particularly like it other than the fact that it is Irish. I think something about the Fal sound is too close to fowl maybe? Fallon confuses me.

My first thought is place in Nevada. Works ok on a place, but Fallon isn't very fn-y to me. Not liking it at all.

I kind of like it, but I don't think that I would ever use it myself.

I think if Emma Samm's character from Falcon Crest. I'm not sure if this where the name originated from or what made it popular.

:-DBoob-tube babies unite. I'm old enough to remember when Pamela Sue Martin originated the role of Fallon. (On Dynasty, right? Not Falcon Crest.) Cheesey, tacky, big hair and big shoulder pads in 1980's evening soap operas is all I can think of when I see Fallon. Even back then it reminded me of a bird's talon. Everything about the name Fallon turns me off.

Yup, Fallon was on Dynasty and she was played by both PSM and ES.

I like it. It makes me think of baby deers, like bambi! Probably because of the breed of deer called Fallow, which is like Fallon. Therefore I find it quite feminine, even though the -on ending is actually more masculine.

I also think of Jimmy Fallon, and it's just not working for me as a first name, not for a boy and especially not for a girl. I've never liked the way you can draw a line through this name and divide it into "fall on." I'm not sure why, but it really bothers me.

...Jimmy.That's all I can think about. I don't like it for a girl...OR a boy, for that matter. I hate Jimmy Fallon.
