Madison is the "-son" suffix. I can't understand how parents ignore that. It's not like
Mackenzie, in which the meaning of "Mac" can escape a person if they don't do their proper research. But the "son" in
Madison is evident. Unless she decides to change her gender down the road, Miss
Madison Kay is a daughter.
Maudsdóttir would be more appropriate if one wishes to use a matronymic.
