[Opinions] Eulalie
I can't get this out of my head. So, wdyto Eulalie?Do you prefer Eulalie or Eulalia?Do you pronounce it yoo-la-lee or yoo-lay-lee? (BTN says la, the blogger You Can't Call It "It" said it's lay in English). I've been going back and forth. Will also accept combo ideas. Currently I'm playing with Eulalie Hero.

are there 2 pronunciations? audio linkI only know this as a French name (it sounds more like uuh lah lee in French http://www.forvo.com/word/eulalie/#fr)
and I dont care for it, I used to think English speakers were mispronouncing it by saying "yoo lay lee" but now Im not sure.

I adore Eulalie and Eulalia! They're such lilting, dignified names.

Reminds me of "ukelele", but it's got a dorky sort of spark to it. It's original.

I love them both soooo much. I don't know how I could choose one. I would have never thought of Eulalie Hero, but it certainly is great! I love the flowery strength of it. My favorite combo for each: Mahalia Eulalie and Eulalia Tzipporah or Eulalia Benjamine

Eh, I'm not a fan of either name listed, though I think I'd prefer Eulalia. I find the "lal" in the name incredibly unattractive in sound and appearance. I can understand the appeal, though. It has a pleasant, yellow-and-white flowers in April thing going on.I say yoo-lay-lee.

love Eulalie :) So bright and smiley and daring. I prefer Eulalie to Eulalia, which has just a touch of preciousness that I'm not keen on. Eulalie is beautifully odd and individual. I say it "YOO-la-lee". Eulalie Hero is GREAT! Definitely jives with my mental picture of a Eulalie.Other ideas?Eulalie Dido
Eulalie Jayne, Eulalie Jane
Eulalie Sylvia
Eulalie Lunete
Eulalie Augusta
Eulalie Irene
Eulalie Greta
Eulalie Lorna
Eulalie Frida
Eulalie Daiva

I'd prn. it yoolaylee... I'm not really a fan of either name and find them similarly unappealing. (and they somehow make me think of an ukulele... which is ok as an instrument, but...).Eulalia might sound ok w/ Midori.
Eulalie might sound ok w/ Geneva.

Eulalie!! It's one of those names I love but would probably never use. I pronounce it you-lay-lee.

I prefer Eulalia, as most names ending with "ee" sounds seem unfinished to me. Regardless of how it ends, I think the English pronounciation (lay) is much nicer - yoo-la-lee sounds a bit like a French person saying "your lolly" ;) Eulalie Adele
Eulalie Maeve
Eulalie Helene (using the he-LEEN pronunciation. A little tongue-twistery, but I like it!)

I love it, and of the two I prefer Eulalie. I'm not 100% sure on pronunciation, but I think I tend slightly more toward yoo-lay-lee. Poking around YouTube looking for different people pronouncing it, I'm finding slightly more people saying yoo-la-lee, but that isn't really the most scientific method to gather evidence so you can take that for whatever you want.I adore Eulalie Hero - it's genuinely just about a perfect combination my eyes.
