Umm why would hippies name their kid "Gentry"? Doesn't the concept of gentry run against everything hippies stand for?I think it's a totally ridiculous name since it literally means - not abstractly represents but LITERALLY MEANS - landed aristocracy. It's worse than Noble, even - at least Noble has been abstractly conceptualized to represent general goodness. Not GENTRY.It's interesting on a boy. I know a girl Gentry. I couldn't believe there was actually someone in the world named Gentry but she's southern so I wrote it off as a particularly ridiculous family name.
