It's easy to see why
Ava is so popular. It's feminine without being frilly, easy to spell and has the hot sound of the moment, a "v" sound. Despite its popularity, I do still love it. the only potential down-side is the possibly confusion with
Eva, which some people(s) pronounce the same way as
Ava. But overall I still think the Old Hollywood association I have with
Ava is worth it.
