Heather has definitely not reached old lady status yet. The oldest
Heather I know is fifty, but it's unusual to find a
Heather that old. She was born in 1962, when
Heather was number 247 in the US. It didn't start to take off until the late sixties, and was really popular starting in the early seventies going through the eighties. Of the other Heathers I've known, my niece is the oldest, and she's thirty-eight, definitely not an old lady. Much as I dislike the name, I just can't see it as "old lady". My grandchildren probably will, but that's in the future.
