I like Liz, but I prefer Lizzie. It used to be my favorite nickname for Elizabeth, but now I think Beth is my favorite.
I've known a good amount of Elizabeths around my age (mid 20s). No alternate spellings.
Most Elizabeths I've known have gone by a nickname more often than not.
Elizabeth - a few
Liz - most of them
Beth - a few
Betsy - 1
Ellie - 1
I've also known an Eliza and another Betsy but I think those were their full names.
