[Opinions] Re: Welsh BAs
in reply to a message by Pie
I have a confession to make: I'm always looking forward to your Welsh BAs, so thanks for posting them!
This time I'm especially intrigued with Mari Glain. How common is Glain in Wales?
Oh, and of course I still love Fflur and Olwen.
Ah, and I have a question about Lois. I mean I know the name in the context that's also given in the entry in the database. But she seems to appear rather frequently in Welsh BAs; so this got me thinking - is Lois also a Welsh name? Or does she have any "special tradition" in Wales?

Aw thank you :)
Glain (jewel - rhymes with Klein) is really rare. I've never met or even heard of one.
I've wondered about Lois too, as it does seem to be quite popular in Wales across all age groups. But it's not in any Welsh name-books. The sounds of it work well in Welsh though, and it's a lot like Lowri.
