We have wonderful news! After nine long months, I gave birth to Wil's and my first son! Wil and I finally settled on the name Gregory John, or Greg for short. Greg is the most perfect baby any parent could wish for. He doesn't sleep completely through the night yet, but wakes up normally around one am, then will sleep until 7 am or so, when Wil gets up to get ready for work. We painted Greg's bedroom white, but it has green and yellow borders because we didn't want to know whether our first baby was going to be a boy or a girl. Greg is wonderful and we are so thankful to have him.
Unfortunately, Greg unknowingly caused a small rift in our relationship. I continued to work part-time as an elementary school aide up until I was seven months pregnant. Wil didn't like that I was working that long and he also didn't like that I did all the normal things I usually do--go shopping, clean the house, go out with friends...We got into a big argument over this little thing and didn't speak to each other for about a day. After that, neither of us could stand it anymore. We made up, then attended a few counseling sessions and our marriage is stronger for it.
