[Facts] Tareija and Biringeira
Biringeira and Tareija (with the variant Tareyja) are attested here as names of Portuguese women who lived in 14th and 15th centuries: http://www.s-gabriel.org/names/juliana/portuguese/
Could anyone tell me their meanings? I'm guessing that Biringeira is related to Berengaria but I have no idea about Tareija.

I've just discovered that Tareija is probably another form of Theresa. This article on 14th century Spanish Leonese names gives Tareisa and Tareysa as forms of Theresa: http://www.ellipsis.cx/~liana/names/spanish/leonfarmer.html. They could easily have become Tareija/Tareyja in Portuguese. And Biringeira is definitely a form of Berengaria.
