Help[Opinions] Annemarie
This name has really grown on me. What do you think of Annemarie? Too old fashioned? Boring? (after all it's two of the most common middle names combined). I think it has a certain charm and I like it better than just Anne. Opinions?

Being an Ann Marie myself, it took me a long time to like the combination of names. I always liked being an Ann. But the Marie part on top of Ann felt way too normal and even a bit prissy.
But now I like the simplicity of the combination. And making them into one name makes perfect sense to me. I've used it in combos like Pearl Annemarie and Niamh Annmarie (spelling adjusted for Niamh because once I was seriously considering it for a child and Annmarie is more our family spelling).
I love Anneliese, which I say, "ANN-uh-LEE-zuh." They are both nice, although I have to be partial and pick Annemarie. :-P

I like it a lot. I think it's charming, and definitely better than Anne or Marie separately, as they're quite plain.
I don't find it old fashioned as the only Annemarie I know is my age (21).
I like Anneliese as well. I say it like "anna-lise" not "anna-lisa". I like both but would probably choose Anneliese myself as it would honour a friend of mine.

I really like Annemarie. I'm from a Dutch speaking country, and I suppose you hear it more often here, but it's not such a common name. I like the sound of it and it's not boring at all.
Anneliese is a nice name too, but I think it sounds a bit harsh. Personally I prefer Annalise.
If I had to chose between these two, Annemarie is definitely my favourite.

I like it just fine except I don't care for it smooshed together. I briefly toyed with Anne-Marie while PG with my youngest. I don't think it's too old fashioned or boring. I mean, I've know women who were Anna, Anne / Ann or Annie, however, I've never known an Annemarie (of any spelling). That makes it a little more distinctive.

I love it! It's one of 2 back-up names for our daughter. I really love Anne, and then a year or so ago decided I loved Annemarie more. It feels more sophisticated and it's less plain. And Marie is my MIL's and her mother's middle name, which is why I'd been thinking about how I could use it.
