I meant that in certain cultures when Isabel was translated could belle or bella have ever been an influence on the name, in the same way this spelling of Rachael is (apparently) influenced by the -ael of Michael. It's a rather odd theory that someone I know has (which has been bugging me for a while).You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
