You're welcome. I have looked at the records and I now believe the surname Garboden is of German origin, as Mark have said, and I thought possible. Perhaps the English surname Garbutt is also of the same origin, also deriving from the German personal name Geribodo. Perhaps the Armenian origin is unlikely. I thank Marc for the evidence.It is always great to have researchers and experts correct each other, as the origin of the surname gets closer and closer to the truth!
