[Opinions] Maximilianus
Is it too much? I'm really starting to like it. He'd be Max most of the time, but I like the idea of being able to use Maximilianus sometimes. Also even though I think Max works on its own I'd like to use a longer name for it.

It makes me think of a body part or a medical condition.

It's ridiculous honestly. I've known one or two Max's named Maximilian which is a bit unwieldy to begin with but Maximilianus is just way too much name, unless you're naming a Roman Centurion.
Maxwell is all right, Maxim is fine if the magazine doesn't exist where you live. I have a friend Max whose full name is Matthew.

My favorite full name for Max is Maxwell, hands down. I'm not a fan of Maximilian, and Maximilianus is overkill.

It goes on too syllables too long for me.

It's overkill... like using a flamethrower to remove weeds in a small garden.

Yes, it's way too much.

I think it is too much, plus like others have said, it ends in -anus :/ I prefer just Max, Maximilian or Maxen.

I much prefer Maximilian because, well....it doesn't end in -anus. Besides that, it's a cool name.

This!I'd walk miles over broken glass to spare my son a name that ended in 'anus.' It also seems a tad overkill to give a six-syllable name only to shorten it to one syllable for everyday use.
