Great name. Short, snappy and has Biblical-chic. Ezra Bartholomew, Ezra John and Ezra Nathaniel are my stock combos. :-)

It's all right but sounds very "Biblical chic" to me, and there's the not-so-great Ezra Pound association.

I like it... Combo I like is Ezra Sosohiro, but not everyone's into Jpns. names- esp. rare ones, so I won't assume who will or won't like it.

Ezra is a handsome name.

The e in 'name' is silent so extending it like that looks pretty dumb. Any reason you're typing like an 12 year old?I like Ezra.

Most westerners prn. the name as Ez-ra, so it's pretty normal that way. In fact, many westerners have never heard it any other way.

I was commenting on the way he wrote the word "Name"-- nameeeeeThat E in "nameeeee" is silent and Brandon is typing like a 12 year old girl.

I was so excited about Ezra being pronounced with a silent e. I would like it much better that way.

oh... ok... yeah... that's not really necessary.

I like Ezra, I might use it eventually.I never do quite know why people post things without questions though...

I know 1 couple w/ a little Ezra.

I suspect people do that because they just want others to agree with them.

I don't like it at all. It's just not a very attractive name, IMO.

It's one of my favourites, but OH doesn't like it at all.

Ezra is my nephew's name. I admit I didn't like it at first, however, now I find it very masculine (especially with the nn, Ez). The only problem I have with it is that I hate to see it being used by parents for their daughters, ugh. What mn were you thinking to pair it with?

I like Ezra Paul.

That does flow nicely.

I agree. It has a great feel to it.

Ezra is nice. :)
Short, simple, but still easy enough to spell and pronounce. I agree with you; Awesome.

it sounds like somebody vomitingralph, earl, ezra

Hmmm never heard that for Ezra before, but I have heard that for Ralph and Earl. Also I have never made a sound similar to Ezra before when vomiting but maybe some people make different sounds when vomiting.

in response to your taste? #probz

There's no need to respond in such a childish way to someone else's opinion of a name you like. You like it, they don't, who cares? You obviously posted it in this forum for opinions, so don't get annoyed when someone's opinion doesn't fit with what you wanted to hear.

He: awesome name
She: it sounds like vomiting
He: vomiting at your bad tasteLooks pretty lighthearted and silly to me ... I don't see childishness that isn't tit for tat. There's no personal attack. You're ordering him to not get annoyed, wha? On topic: I think Ezra is the next Noah. It's as cool now as Noah was in the 80s. Even I kinda like it, and I have name taste that might make people vomit (but they'd sound like they were saying Ralph, Rachel, Lachlan!). Dunno why Ezra doesn't seem to have the fustiness that makes me hate most other -a ending Bible guy names.

Rachel sounds like vomit? I didn't realize.

I don't actually think it does, have never thought that before, but it came to mind for some reason when I tried to imagine ... the raitch sound? Whatever, I was just making stuff up. Honestly I forgot your name was Rachael. I like that name. I like Lachlan too (and Ralph, but only if you say it Rayf, and I don't).

Oh, it's okay, I'm not offended. And thanks, I like my name, too. :)
