1. Retro-chic. I like it :-)2. Edgar Armand, Edgar Francis, Edgar Byron... Depends on your taste in names, I guess.3. I think it stands out a little bit because it's not so popular. A baby Edgar born today wouldn't meet a lot of other Edgar of his age, which can be both a good or a bad thing. I personally think it's a good thing, because a name like that is not too forgettable, and it would age well.

1. What's your opinion on the name Edgar?
I think it sounds stuffy and painfully British ... I say that as Brit myself. I also see it as the stereotyped butler's name in a period drama. Not a favourite at all.2. Can you figure out any good middle names for Edgar?
Mm not really, I've hit a blank here, sorry.3. How does it compare to some of the more popular names such as Aiden, Tristan, Logan, Cole, among others for example?
How does it compare? Well, I wouldn't expect to see them in the same sibset, that's for sure. They could be seen as different types of trendy. Logan etc are modern American trends. Edgar is not in fashion yet, but does have the same yuppie "feel" as similar names Oliver, Sebastian, Annabel ..._____________________________________________________________________Elinor

1. What's your opinion on the name Edgar? I like it! Of course my favorite poet is Edgar Allan Poe, so I'm a little biased, but it's a nice name and underused.2. Can you figure out any good middle names for Edgar? Edgar Allan automatically comes to mind, haha. Something classic would probably sound best, i.e. Edgar William, Edgar Laurence, Edgar Alexander, etc.3. How does it compare to some of the more popular names such as Aiden, Tristan, Logan, Cole, among others for example? I'm not really sure what you're asking here, but I like it more than most of the more popular names lately.

1. I love the name Edgar! I prefer Edgar more than Edmund or Edward, and since everyone associates Edgar with Poe it has a very mysterious edge to it.2. Edgar Lawrence, Edgar Ethan, Edgar Thomas, Edgar Raymond, Edgar Howard3. Edgar is a much, much more masculine name than names like Aidan or Tristan (names that can also be used for girls). It's a man's man kind of name.

Reminds me of Poe and sounds garish. I strongly dislike it.

1. I absolutely adore it, and I hope no one else ever does. Actually, I'm not terribly likely to use it, but it's close to my heart--I love Poe.2. Plenty. One of my favourites (in theory) is Edgar Sylvanus. Anything that's a bit unusual will work well with it.3. It's far more interesting than the more popular names. It has backbone, and a dark edge, which li'l buckaroos like Logan and Cole lack.Array

And the young people ask, "What are they marching for?"

1. What's your opinion on the name Edgar?
I lover Edgar! I like a lot of Ed- names (Edward, Edmund, Edwin, etc.). 2. Can you figure out any good middle names for Edgar?
Sorry, I'm not very good at recommending middle names. 3. How does it compare to some of the more popular names such as Aiden, Tristan, Logan, Cole, among others for example?
It sounds much more solid, in my opinion. Those names just seem so...thin and watery. They're trendy and cutesy. Edgar is more of a classic.

1. What's your opinion on the name Edgar? Erm... I don't like it. It sounds ugly to my ears, though it looks nice. I just don't like the 'gar' sound - it's too harsh imo.2. Can you figure out any good middle names for Edgar? Ed, Eddie, Gary, Ari, Harry, Dig...3. How does it compare to some of the more popular names such as Aiden, Tristan, Logan, Cole, among others for example? Hm, well all of those are some of my favorites so Edgar doesn't really compare :) I love the others.

♦ I like it. It's due for a rebound, along with Edward and Edmund, two other favourites.2. Can you figure out any good middle names for Edgar?
Edgar William, Edgar Matthew, Edgar Henry, Edgar Laurence, Edgar Simon, Edgar Theodoric, Edgar Luke, Edgar Frederick . . . anything classic works!3. How does it compare to some of the more popular names such as Aiden, Tristan, Logan, and Cole for example?
♦ Compared to Edgar, those names sound insubstantial and wishy-washy. Edgar sounds like a child whose parents are able to accept that he won't be three years old forever.
