Well Kaylie, I like your name! :) I think it's very pretty! Sure, it is on the cute side but so what? Names like that keep people youthful in my opinion. It's so much better than some old musty clunker like Matilda or Beatrice! My name is Amy and I've always liked the girl-like quality of it. I won't be giving my own kids old grandma names-ugh. Kaylie is a favorite of mine-and I quite like Kylie too. Don't listen to all the haters-it's a very popular name because lots of people like it. And it will age fine-it has to! There are going to be thousands of adult Kaylies!! :) Nice name!
You're still young enough to think that cute is good, and besides, you're used to it :-) I thought that Connor was cute on a girl when I was not much younger than you!
But when you're 50, Kaylie - which screams pink toys, glitter and plaits to most people - may not seem so appropriate.

But by the time Kaylie is 50, her name *won't* scream pink toys, glitter and plaits. It'll be like Barbara is today. Fashionable names age with their bearers. It'll be *too* age appropriate - dated, in fact.
