Dreadful name in my opinion. It is chronically trendy and overused. Kaylie's will always have a date to their name. When they are 50, being called Kaylie will be like being called Nancy nowadays. Because of its sound, I bet people thought Nancy was young, fresh and cute. Now look what's happened to it!_____________________________________________________________________Elinor

Nancy is actually an old nn for Anne. It probably sounded the way Isabelle sounds to some today - a refreshingly new "old-fashioned" name.
One example is the character of Nancy in Oliver Twist.
