I think Floyd's really cool. I prefer it over Lloyd by a lot. I'd be more likely to use it as a middle name though. I do not know any.I'd love to see it as a first name though. I like Floyd but prefer Lloyd.
I would at least consider it for a son it has personal significance to my family but my brother has already claimed it as his hypothetical future son's middle name (he says Liam would me the first name, why not William??) so although he is marrying a woman who will probably never be able to be pregnant I will save the name for him.
The only Floyd I know of is an infamous slum lord in my area, there is also Pink Floyd the band of course and I have a great uncle Floyd
I like Floyd with classic two syllable names mostly, but it depends on the last name
Floyd Daniel - I don't mind the -d D thing
Floyd William
Floyd Joseph
Floyd Solomon
Floyd Ross
Floyd Harrison

I'd never choose it and I don't know anyone by the name. I don't like the sound of it at all.

It's one of those names that I really want to like but just can't quite get behind it. It reminds me of Flynn, which is making a comeback. I've never known anyone named Floyd.I would try for a crisp, masculine middle name.Floyd Alaric

1. No, I do not like the name Floyd.
2. I would never give it to a son. Ever. Even for a middle name.
3. I knew one Floyd. He's gone now but he'd be nearly ninety if he was still alive. Also knew a lady with a parakeet named Floyd, but he was named that only because her husband thought Pretty Boy was lame.

Don't like Lloyd so I wouldn't name someone that. Here's some combos:
- Floyd Carter
- Floyd Christopher
- Daniel Floyd
