[Opinions] Malala
WDYTO Malala, after Malala Yousafzai?
I just realized she'd be a good person to name a daughter after. I can't decide if I like the sound of the name itself though. It has a lot of L's! If I ever used it it would be as a middle name.

At first, I thought I saw Malaria when I was scrolling through the threads! It doesn't really look like the word "malaria", though.
It's a bit of a mouthful, but I think it would be fine as a middle name. Malala Yousafzai is a good namesake.

Malala is a bit too much of a tongue twister for me. However, I recently met someone of Indian descent named Mala, which I think is pretty. Maybe Malala nn Mala would work?
Mala would definitely a manageable nickname! No tongue-twister there.
Malala Yousafzai is a great namesake. It would make a nice middle name.
It sounds to me like something you might hear being sung repeatedly during "The Lion King."
It's a great namesake, but too many a's and l's.
Agree.I surely couldn't use it, given my "a"-ridden last name!
Good namesake, but sounds too foreign for my area.
Malala is rather gorgeous and looks nice written. Big plus that Malala Yousafzai would be a good namesake. My only problem is that I'm not sure how it's pronounced. I've heard to ways: muh-lah-lah and muh-layl-luh.
Interesting. I've only heard muh-lah-lah. I'll have to find out...
I'd like to know the name's meaning!
The namesake is awesome but I really don't care for the name. It sounds like a toddler's babble. :/
Malala is a true inspiration. She is the epitome of determination, strength, and resilience. How can we not stand up for what we believe in when this young woman continues to risk her life for her cause. Honoring her with a namesake would be lovely.
