To be honest, it reminds me of a little kid named Winona who hasn't mastered her capital M's yet.
I don't care for the name, but Mina or Minnie could be cute nicknames.

Hmm, yeah, that's one of my main concerns - "Gosh, she doesn't even know how to spell and pronounce Winona!".
On the other hand... I'm still intrigued by this name. I love this whimsical and kind of wistful feel I get from it. It's like she belongs here - but not quite. She's almost forgotten - but hasn't completely fallen into oblivion. It almost feels like Minona lives a life on the threshold of two worlds. I think that's what makes her so fascinating to me.
