Armand was my new favorite boys name until I found out it is only pronounced ar-MAWn so I would have to say it all French-like which isn't my style. I am kind of strict about pronunciation so I wouldn't just say it my way. I only thought
Armand was said AR-mund because of a kid I knew in school whose name was actually
Armen now that I looked into it. I like
Armen ok, but not with my sons name,
Warren, because it makes me think "armin'" and "warrin'" while the -d in
Armand got rid of that problem for me. Then it occurred to me that "AR-mund" is very similar to
Raymond and I am starting to strongly warm up to the name even though it is one I sort of disliked before. I like the nickname
Ray, but I'm kind of a full name person so I'd probably say
Raymond quite a bit.
Would a
Raymond ever be
Raymond, or only
Ray these days? How do you picture a
Raymond? Do
Warren and
Raymond work well for brothers?
