I've met some very nice people with the name Grace, but I don't care for the sound of it. It has an almost prissy feel. I don't like Gracie at all.

It's such a beautiful name! You really can't go wrong with it and Gracie is an adorable nn. My stock combo is Grace Valentina.

Yeah, it's dull, but at least classy dull.

I don't think it's dull as a first name, I've only ever met one Grace and she was great so I associate it with her. I like it OK, the sound is a little harsh but I think the meaning is so beautiful. I like Gracie less though, it's a bit too cute and kind of reminds me of 'greasy'.

Love it. If I have a daughter, I'm almost positive her name will be Grace. It's one of the only names we both love, and it has meaning for us, both individually and as a couple. My favorite Grace combo is Grace Ginevra, nn Gigi, but I have as much a chance of getting that as I do of reaching the moon with a slingshot. Grace Lillian or Grace Rebekah are more realistic picks.

Grace is definitely popular, which means I probably wouldn't use it (I also don't like the religious implications), but I think it's beautiful anyway. It's simple and unassuming and I just love it.

As a first name, not dull at all. Elegant and lovely and, with Gracie as a nickname, very lively as well. But it in the MN spot it becomes bland and boring and filler.

I like Grace. The only one I know is my aunt's best friend. My cousin's oldest daughter's mn is Grace after her.

Patience is too Puritanical for me, but Grace has Grace Kelly and Gracie Allen (comedy partner with George Burns) as namesakes, so it's more usable.

I like it as a first name but think it's overused to the point of awfulness in the middle spot.
I know a little girl who is called Gracie (full name) and it is very cute, but I think Grace is better as Gracie is too cute to be take seriously on an adult. :)

It's fine but rather dull, I know quite a few Graces. Patience is more interesting as its less popular. Gracie is cute though.

I don't really feel strongly about Grace one way or the other. It's all right, I suppose. The little Grace I knew was called Gracie, which I don't love. It seems like one of those childish nicknames that are hard to get rid of later on. And it's just too cutesy.

Me too. Despite its popularity, it has staying power. Apart from the obvious attraction of its meaning, I love how simple and direct it is. Grace Kelly is a plus as well. And the nn Gracie is as cute as bugs' teeth. :-)

Grace Eleonora and Grace Eliana are my stock combos for it. Oh, and Grace Elizabeth, of course. It may not be creative, but it's as solid as a brick house and will stand the test of time beautifully.
