NoIt's a place name, and akin to naming a child "Beautiful View")

In Sweden there are several places called Bellevue, in Gothenburg and Stockholm for example, so I can't think of it as a name for a human being.

Bellevue... sounds like a town with a hockey team called the Bulls. Oh, that's Belleville.

no no ...lol.Bellevue the famous psychiatric hospital is, I think, in New York.Bellevue, WA is just a medium-sized city on the less-cool eastern shore of Lake Washington. There's no big asylum there, and hardly anything crazy going on at all. The big hospital in Bellevue, WA is not even called Bellevue hospital.Just clearing that up. I don't live in Bellevue WA, but I'm not far from it.

Okay, that's messing with me...... because there's also a Bellevue WA as in Western Australia. It's an okay but somewhat scruffy suburb close to where I grew up.

I don't care for Bellevue but Beauregard is cute.

Bellevue is a mortuary near where I live so I can't imagine it as anything else.
Sounds horrible to me. Sorry!

Sounds like a senior citizen home

There's a school I live near called Bellevue, it wouldn't work round here because of that, or anywhere really...

no...It's a hospital that's famous for its mental ward. It's a place name that doesn't even sound like a name.

I believe Mary Todd Lincoln was kept there for a while.

Exactly.I'm not sure if Bellevue is in business anymore but it's all I can think of. Not a good association.

Isn't Bellevue pretty much a generic name for a mental hospital? That's my first association, at least.

Bellevue is the name of a sister city to Seattle, so I don't like it.

lol, No. =P sorry... The -vue part is "view" which, in the name of a woman, sounds totally ick to me. Lewd, even. It's strictly a placename to me. And not a great one ... I live not far from a fairly large city called Bellevue, which is notable for its conventionalness and lack of personality. It'd be comical to name a child after it.

Nah, people'd make fun of her because it literally means 'nice sight'. Belle would be nicer, you can really use that as a full name.
