[Opinions] Don't Do It!
Don't subject your twins to cutesy, themed names. Yes, same starting letter is a cutesy theme. My twin and I (Jess and Jen, respectively) have fought it, and you have no idea how annoying it is. It's bad enough that as twins, you struggle for your own identity without being compared to each other, but doing themey names makes it that much harder. Just pick two individual names you like and ignore what is "cute" for twins.

You know what's funny? I've known a lot of twins and none have had obviously matching names:Laura and Alyse
Jennifer and Elise
Grant and Ross
Maribel and Crystal
Alyssia and Tiffany
Michael and BenjaminI understand the whole individuality thing, having witnessed the above twins making a super effort to let everybody know that they may be twins but they're entirely different people. Laura and Alyse went to the extreme though with Laura becoming a blonde cheerleader and Alyse being a bad-dye job goth, it was so cliche I rolled my eyes whenever I saw them because they still ATE LUNCH TOGETHER. Obviously that's not who they were. After a year at university though they've gotten back to how they were in elementary - both different people of course but at least they're not pretending to be something their not. I guess this whole thing is "why give them something else to struggle with in the teenage bid for individuality?"And if you insist on something "themey" look at BtNs twins section - http://www.behindthename.com/twins.php - now that's how to do it.:)

I have a questionDid your mom dress you and sister in identical outfits? My boss' family has lots of twins, the names aren't themey but all the sets are always dressed identical and the girls have identical hairstyles. I always thought that was kind of cruel, I mean, they're two different people.

YesWhen we were younger. Not always, but a lot of times for special occasions and school.

I actually don't know that many twin sets, but besides Jennifer and Jessica there was a Richard and Robert in my class back in school. We had one of those, too! They were called Ricky and Bob, which helped it a little. We also had two completely identical boys named Jeffrey and Joshua. I never, never, ever knew which was Jeff and which was Josh, and I think their names contributed to that.Array
