I checked Lunechka in Cyrillic as лунечка, and Google showed that this form indeed exists. However I got the impression that this diminutive is quite rare (maybe like the "full" name Luna itself).

It's hard to shorten Luna. But the diminutive endings I mentioned are like -ette in French or -ita in Spanish. They're not like Tanja is short for Tatjana. Even if the name isn't shorter, there's some apparent affection because the form is used.
