[Opinions] Wally vs. Walt
When using the boy's name Walter, which nickname is better: Wally or Walt? Why?

Frankly I can't stand either. Wally is a slight, whimsical insult as 'oh you're such a Wally!', not offensive or anything, but not great for a name. My Grandad is called Wally. Also makes me think if 'Where's Wally?'Walt I just don't like the sounds of. It sounds really dated and makes me think of walnuts! I think I was put of by the character is ,Lost as well.Basically I just wouldn't use the name Walter, personally.

I don't like any of them, but if I had to I'd go with Walt. It sounds more grown up, and it doesn't sound like Wall-E.

Walt, I guess. Wally sounds like a loser.

Walt! I love Walt!

Walt. Wally sounds really annoying and almost comical. I'm not saying no one could pull off the name but I think 98% of men can't.

I think Walt is kind of hot and Wally is bad.

My son Garrett's nickname is Wally, so I have to go with Wally. It's so sweet and warm.

Walt, definitely. Wally sounds like a euphemism for a not very bright person. Walt has style, panache. It's cool. Wally is not.

Walt, I find it more mature than a Wally. Wally was that impulsive kid who ran away from his home in Pokemon to prove he was healthy and all that.

I think Walter is a super unattractive name, and Wally and Walt are not much better. If I had to pick between the two I'd go with Walt. Wally sounds so goofy.Inasmuch as I dislike them, I do like Wat quite a bit.
