[Opinions] Lacy for a boy?
I'm looking for a boy name starting with L. I've looked at lots of lists but haven't found anything that really appeals to me. Then a friend half jokingly suggest Lacy for a boy she once knew. I kind of like it. But is it too automatically presumed to be female? And is that o terrible anyway. Anyone have opinios and has anyone ever known a male Lacy? If so, what did he think about his name?

No.
Why would you even do that? I know people with the LAST NAME Lacey who are men, but they NEVER were called Lacey. Not even as a joke.
How about these?
Luke
Lucian
Luka
Lucas
Logan
Liam
Landon
Louis
Lewis
Laurence

I could see it working.... but only if it was like his LN and everyone just referred to him by that
Edward J. Lacy, known as "Lacy" would be cool, but Lacy as a FN is just sort of cruel

Just put yourself in the shoes of a boy named Lacey, casting aside all the PC crap you might believe as an adult. Would you want to be a boy named Lacey?
Just girls I am afraid. So don't touch it.
Please, no.
I get that it's considered a female name, but it seems very masculine to me. Probably because it rhymes with Kasey and Tracey and I always think of those as more masculine than feminine. I kinda like it on a guy.
NO!
It sounds horrible on a boy.

I loathe it on girls because of the whole lacy garments thing - it summons visions of horrible frilly knickers. But on a boy, it seems to re-acquire dignity and turn back into an interesting medieval surname. I like the idea of it. I think though that in practice, it would be a tricky name to bear.
For a boy? Nah. It's just too feminine, IMO.
I don't mind it - it reminds me of Stacey, Ashley and Courtney...all of which I've known on boys. I prefer the spelling Lacey for a boy.
While I like it in theory, I wouldn't use it personally. When I hear the name, I think of lacy garments and it gives me a strongly (and stereotypically) feminine vibe and that's what messes it up for me. But without that connotation, I don't think it's half bad.

Good God, NO. Don't use it!
