[Opinions] Asher
So, my SO and I have a hard time coming up with boys names. Recently, I've been thinking about the name Asher and I really like it... and so does he. We've been considering naming our future son Asher Gray. I really like it. It kind of reminds me of a superhero name. Our last name is Canela. What's your opinion on it? Is it too much?

Thanks for all of the input, guys! I'm still considering it. We aren't pregnant yet but are trying... or going to be trying for one soon. So far this name is at the top of my list and it's a little "out there" considering most people in my family/community stick with safer names. I really like it, though.

I like the sound of Asher Gray, and Asher Canela isn't bad either.
I say go for it!

I like Asher a lot. It's my favourite "Ash" name, I slightly prefer Archer which I think is really similar.
On the surface I don't see anything wrong with Asher Grey, except - and this is just me being picky - together the names bring to mind the physical ash, as in what is left after something in burned. The name Asher doesn't bring this association normally but because ash is grey, the two names together bring this.I like Asher Clarke sounds very cool and superhero-ish, it goes well with Canela too! :)

It reminds me of 'ash gray', so the imagery I get is very dull. I think it is too much.

I love Asher, but Asher Gray is a little too cheesy. I vote no on the Gray. Brothers named Asher and Gray would be not so bad to me, however. Asher Benjamin
Asher Daniel
Asher Gideon
Asher Gabriel
Asher Henry
Asher James
Asher Luke*
Asher Nathaniel
Asher Nicholas
Asher Silas
Asher Tobias
Asher Theodore

Superheroes need inconspicuous names for when they are wearing their undies in the right place. And Asher Gray could hardly be more, well, grey if it was covered with dust and cobwebs.Either name on its own or with another partner would be fine. But it's a genuinely bleak combo. You could perhaps spice it up with another mn - Asher Dominic Gray? Asher Maxim Gray? Asher Henry Gray? Just to break it up a bit.

Very handsome and wearable combo - reminds me for some reason of Mr Darcy!

I LOVE the name Asher for a boy and I think Asher Gray is a gorgeous combo. Very handsome and something which would suit a male of all ages.

I love the name Asher and although I'm not a fan of Gray, it sounds nice in the combo =)

I like Asher. Asher Gray is a nice combo :) I wouldn't say it's too much. I mean, technically it looks like you attempted to think of a cool name and part of me thinks it's a little cheesy for that reason, but that's just me majorly nitpicking because I do like the combo anyway.

Asher Gray flows nicely and looks good, but it's a bit heavy on the gray imagery. You have the actual name Gray and then ASHer- ashes are gray. If that doesn't bother you, then I think it's a nice combination.
