I like Xenia, not so much Xena.

Yeah, as soon as I saw it I thought Xena: Warrior Princess. It's just too heavily ingrained in popular culture, imo, to be taken seriously!

I think it would work in real life, its a pretty name.

Too heavily associated with Xena: Warrior Princess, imo (particularly in the States). Even though I like it, I feel like anyone who would use it for their daughter would immediately be seen as making a political statement regarding feminism, regardless of whether that was their intention. I do like Xenia, though, and think it would be quite usable.

I never knew it was a TV programme until I looked it up! So I guess it's all about location.

I think a lot of people would associate it with the TV show, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'd rather be Xena than Bella.
