Please let me know if I'm breaking board etiquette by starting an even congrats while Ninor's is still running - it looks like a lot of fun, Ninor, and I want to get in on the action! ;)
How it works:
Each round, I'll ask you to pick a color & a number. These will determine what happens to your characters in the next round. Every round, you'll have an event that requires naming (a baby, a pet, something else) and one that does not require naming (vacation, job change, illness, etc.)
This game is going to be pretty narrative-focused (hi, writers & daydreamers!), but if you don't like to write don't let that scare you! A few sentences is fine. A dozen paragraphs is also fine. Whatever's fun for you!

Bio: Toussaint grew up in the heart of Paris where he lived with his extended family and always had a loud, lively home with a lavish lifestyle and a lot of love. He enjoys far more movies and stage productions than anyone he knows. He's even been in a few indie films and made cameos in blockbuster hits, but he doesn't want a career in film enough to dedicate himself to any major roles. He much prefers to sit in front of the screen and scribble notes as he watches. When Jean-Benoit is able to drag him away from his work, they like to walk their two dogs and have quite a love for taste-testing various frozen treats.

Bio: Jean-Benoit's childhood was more tumultuous than most. At age four, he was abducted from a dirt path near his home in the French countryside and lived as another family's son for thirteen years. When, at age seventeen, the truth came out and Jean-Benoit was returned to where his biological family lived, he felt very displaced. He found that his family had fallen apart over the years and that both of his parents had different families now and his older brothers were living with various relatives. He felt very discontent with his life and only found solice in music and performing. He used his talent in this department to take him to the US and to Broadway where he prefers to live in the present with Toussaint and thinks/talks very little of his past.
Relationship
Toussaint and Jean-Benoit met when Toussaint reviewed a production of RENT that Jean-Benoit performed in when he was 18. Toussaint claimed that Jean-Benoit was not passionate enough to play Roger and Jean-Benoit had came to him enraged at the accusation. He had intended to leave his meeting with Toussaint with a little more justification as to his portrayal and, instead, left with a date. The rest is laughable history and, today, Toussaint is Jean-Benoit's biggest supporter and fan.

-Bio: Xander became an orphan when he was 12 [his Mother died in childbirth when he was 5, and his Father was in a car accident], and he was bounced around from foster home, to foster home until he aged out of the system, at which point he entered the Army. He thought to only stay for a few years, to go to school for carpentry afterwards, but he found he liked it, and so decided to stay for a few more turns.
DW: Rose Barbara Cook (24)
-Career: Politician
-Bio: Rose was born in Scotland to very strict Catholic parents, and they moved to America [Maine] when she was 9, after her sister Allison was born. She preferred the culture of America over Scotland, but longed to return to her homeland, and did so a year after her brother Darren was born, when she was 18. She fell in love with a man named Eoin, and had a whirlwind romance that lasted until his death three months later. Rose returned to Maine barely pregnant with Sarah, and gave birth eight and a half months later.
After experiencing the American's less than ideal pre-natal, and medical care, she decided to focus her attentions [those that weren't on her newborn daughter] on becoming a politician to try and improve things for those who couldn't afford to pay for a medical plan. She's still a rather low-level politician, but is slowly gaining ground, and attention.
DD: Sarah Rose (6) (Rose's daughter)
-Bio: A relatively happy young girl, quick to smile, and - though she doesn't always understand the finer nuances of people's emotions - she has no problem making friends at school.
Xander and Rose met through an intern at the office Rose works at [who is an old acquaintance of Xander's], and she immediately annoyed him. She didn't look down her nose at him, like others did, but she had a way of smiling as if she knew everything about him, and found his gruff demeanor amusing. They exchanged e-mail addresses though, because Rose wanted a contact in the military, and e-mailed each other once a week for a year before they met again.

Bio: Kathleen was born and raised in New York City by strict mainland Chinese parents. They doted on their only daughter and geared her towards success from a very early age. All throughout her schooling Kathleen aced it, albeit at a heavy cost: she had very little time to develop meaningful social relationships, and even to this day, her closest friends are those she made in middle and high school - she just didn't have time to make new friends, what with all the studying her parents expected her to do. Kathleen had always been obedient, though, and successfully entered law school, just like her parents wanted. A few years later and she had not only passed her bar exam, but been offered partnership in a new, yet promising, law firm. Pressured by her parents, Kathleen accepted... and that was when she stopped having a life of her own outside work. Three months ago everything became too much to bear, and Kathleen hopped on a plane to Bali to get away from it all and get rid of some stress. Little did she know a whole new chapter of her life would begin there!

Bio: Born in a small town in Texas, Tucker always knew that football and hunting weren't for him. Even as a child, he abhorred violence, and the only reason he could eat meat or fish was because he hadn't been acquainted with the particular animal in its lifetime. He thought there was beauty in nature and in every living creature. This didn't sit well with his rugged macho dad and deeply conservative, former Miss Alabama mum... which was why Tucker kept as low a profile as he could, and the day after his 18th birthday he hopped on the first bus headed to the big city and never looked back. For a while he worked low-end jobs until he got enough money to travel in southeast Asia for a few months - he wanted to soak in the culture more than anything. A few months became a few years, and despite some brief stints in rural Laos and Cambodia teaching English, Tucker decided he'd like to live somewhere a little less isolated. Two years ago he got a job as a yoga instructor at some fancy-shmancy hotel resort in Bali, and that's where he met Kathleen.

Giuliana Farinelli was born and raised in New York City. She is the second youngest of five: Joseph "Joe" (37), Anthony (33), Caterina "Cat" (30), and Nicholas "Nick" (25). Her father, Salvatore, is a successful restaurateur and vineyard owner, owning several authentic Italian restaurants throughout the city and three vineyards in Italy. Giuliana, who learned to cook from a young age, was expected to join the family business but her heart wasn't in it. Giuliana loves fashion and design. Ever since she was little, she dressed herself and put on fashion shows for her family during the holidays. She always loved to draw and paint, sew and stitch. That was her passion. After high school, she attended The Fashion Institute of Technology, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design with a minor in French. (She speaks fluent English, Italian and French.) Her time at FIT allowed her to intern and study abroad in Milan and Paris, expanding her knowledge of the fashion industry. After her second internship with Ralph Lauren her senior year, they hired her as an Associate Designer. After high school, Aaron went on to attend Durham University to study Sport, Exercise and Physical Activity and play for the Men's Football team. It was there Aaron was recognized as a stand-out athlete and, upon graduation, was picked to play for his hometown team: Leeds United AFC. Aaron played for Leeds for five years before playing for his current team, Arsenal FC.

Bio: Franny is the second youngest of four children, raised in a factory town in central Illinois. Her mom was a librarian, her dad a chemical engineer. She never felt like they got along too well, but they didn't divorce until she was a sophomore in high school. To her shock, her dad bounced completely, leaving the state for a new job and refusing to finalize the divorce (and child support) for almost two years. Franny had lived a very middle class life until they, but her last three years of high school were spent sharing a one bed room apartment with her mom and younger sister, working a waitress job to help the family. Burned by the past three years of financial woes, Franny decided to major in accounting because it seemed very stable. But two years into her degree she realize she couldn't deny her passions. She moved to the city and started studying photography, even though it meant taking on student dept. Graduation was terrifying for Franny, but luckily she was able to make it work, doing product photography for a major retailer during the week and her own artistic projects on weekends.

Bio: Damon is the only son of two working artists in Chicago. While they've always stayed in the city, his parents are restless types and change apartments every few years, meaning Damon changed elementary schools all the time. He jokes it was like being in a military family, except without actually moving anywhere fun. Due to a childhood injury, Damon's in a wheelchair. That made all the school switching extra hard, because not only was he always new, he was always different. Damon overcame it by being super outgoing and funny. He's super fun to be around. But sometimes he falls into deep depressions. He tries his best to always hide them, but they can take their toll on his relationships. At least one ex left because of them. Due to his accident, Damon developed an interest in medicine and the human body. He double majored in art therapy and nutrition, and works primarily with children with special health needs and eating disorders.

Jessica has lived in the same house her whole life, only taking a break to go to college just an hour away. As an only child she may have been just a bit spoiled as a child. She's outgoing, friendly, and all her students like her. She coaches the school's varsity cheerleading squad, after their previous coach decided she didn't want to anymore.

HISTORY
Aaron and Juliet met two summers ago when Juliet came down from Seattle for an internship and do some work for his company. Since then, the couple has been in regular contact and neither of them has dated others seriously. When Juliet managed to secure a job in San Francisco just before spring break of her senior year, she and Aaron got back together.
