Sydney and his wife may only be 21 years old, but they are very mature and have been living on their own for three years. They met in secondary school and have been dating since they were 15.

Year1: Sydney and Jay buy a Chinchilla from their local pet shop. She is grey and lives in their dining room (hygienic, I know), they decide to call her Fluffy.

Year2: Sydney and Jay's friend from school is taken ill and tragically dies suddenly. She was outcast from her family when she got pregnant at 16, and leaves her son - a gorgeous six year old with dark brown hair and eyes to match - without any family, except "Uncle" Syd and "Auntie" Jay. It's a long, hard process, but eventually Sydney and Jay are finally able to legally adopt Kody Lawson and give him a permanent home.

Year3: Sydney is shocked when he is given the case of newborn boy/girl twins in need of adoption. They are not a priority to be kept together because of their differing gender and young age, so there is a fair chance they will get split up in the system. To stop this from happening Sydney talks to his wife and they together agree to put in an adoption plea for the babies. Luckily their adoption of Kody the year before going in their favour, and they are able to take home the twins. Sebastian Luke has ginger hair and hazel eyes, while his twin sister, Florence Leah, has light brown hair and hazel eyes.
