After a few months of being married, Moni discovers she is pregnant! By the end of their first year together, Moni and Chip have welcomed a beautiful baby girl with blonde hair and brown eyes, named Theresa "Rhys" Caroline Mulligan. Rhys is a very cranky baby, but Moni has been a very good sport and manages to keep everything under control... most of the time.

As the year passes by, five-year-old Rhys begins to fall in love with the stray labrador who lives on their street and stops by their house every once in awhile. After discussing it, Moni and Chip decide it's the right decision to take the dog in. And so they do. Rhys names it Goodie, because it was her "goodie" from mama and daddy.
