I like Joan. It's very open, white, and breezey... I like that. It's strong and smart though.
While I'm often a fan of simplicity, Joan Elizabeth is too plain for me. I'd pair Joan with something friendly like

Eh. Those are my father in-law's initials. My initials with my maiden name spelled SEW. My brother's initials spell RAW. As long as it doesn't spell ASS or TIT or something, I don't think a word with initials is a problem!
