A friend of mine recently had a daughter and named her Vega, so I like it very much!
Ianthe...it's interesting, but a bit difficult to pronounce. The first time I saw it, I though "EE-an-the? EYE-an-the?" I think I prefer Yolande.

I really like Ianthe. Not so keen on Vega, but like the meaning. I think Vincent Vega puts me off it a bit.

Ahh, I adore each name. Vega is feisty and sassy, with a hidden touch of vulnerability; Ianthe is as strong as an iron pillar yet possesses a magnificent beauty. They're stunning together as well, whether as a sibset or as a combo (Vega Ianthe / Ianthe Vega).

They both have great meanings, are both usable and I like both of them in an abstract sense - but Vega sounds exactly like 'vaguer' in most UK accents, and I prefer modern Greek Ianthi (ee an thee) to the eye an thee pronunciation.

Ianthe would fall in my too-cool-to-use-category.

Vega is one of the most beautiful stars in the sky, but for some reason I don't find the name very beautiful. The "aig" sound is not great. I prefer Vera.

That being said, I would freak out with excitement were I to meet a person with either of those names!

I like Ianthe, but I prefer Iolanthe as Ianthe reminds me of the name Ian. Vega reminds me of Vegas, veg, vegans and vegetarians. I prefer the similar Veda or Vada.

These would be cool sister names :)
