How is Arden related to Edward?
Arden is fine. Arden on a girl seems way better than Arden on a boy to me. It just doesn't feel very masculine to me at all. Not sure if this floats your boat at all, but Ardi would be a very cute nickname.

Oh... they are not linguistically related at all... hence the sneakiness.
Arden starts with ARD and Edward ends with ARD. Just a common pattern in both.
