[Opinions] Re: Suggest some odd nicknames for Rebecca?
in reply to a message by New_Chloe
As a Rebecca it'll be fun to get creative with my name. Here goes! I can't wait to read the other posts and see what they come up with. Some of these are going to be obvious stretches.
Bittie (by friends)
Betty (by people who misheard "Becki," but why not?)
Ruby (I quite like this one)
Ebba or Eb (my great-grandma went by Eb)
Bea (BEE-ah)
Beth
Cara
Robbie / Rob
Rue
Rune
Runa
Rua
Rea (ray-ah)
Rae / Ray
Some iffy ones (imo)...
Recca (Too similar to wrecker, esp. in England)
Rebby / Rebbie
Rebba
Berry
Becker (You know, like trendy Harper and Hunter? What, it's too much like Pecker? Oh, fine)
Red is always cute for someone with red hair, if not a bit overused. I don't like Rex or Bucky-- mainly because they were names used for older men in my family. Reba makes me think of all things stereotypical country southern. Thanks, Reba McEntire.
I'll add more if I think of any.
