[Opinions] I prefer Anwen

Anwen is a real Welsh which means "very beautiful". I also think Anwen sounds softer than Arwen.
1. Of couse it is usable. Just think how usable Madison from the movie "Splash" is. And "Splash" was a mediocre film while LOTR is a great film and a great fantasy novel. I can easily imagine a real person with this name. Actually I know of a young girl with this name but I think she had changed her name and had a more common one before.
2. I like it b/c of the association with LOTR and also b/c it sounds like a Celtic name (maybe it is too).
3. I would pair it with a more traditional and common mn.
Arwen Beth, Arwen Belle, Arwen Claire, Arwen Elise, Arwen Louise, Arwen Jane, Arwen May, Arwen Kate, Arwen Elizabeth etc.

Anwen's lovely; I hadn't heard of it before. I take your point about using it, too. Arwen Elise and Arwen Louise are my favorites from your list.
