Of all the chris-names, I only like Christoph better than Christian in sound and flow. And, in relation to your comments... my brother is Christian and he is an atheist, which I have always thought ironic. He Christian Daniel.. So doubly biblical.
I agree that a Muslim named Christian would raise a few eyebrows. However not enough that I would personally care if I loved the name.
Though I can totally see your side as well. I would likely never name a child Mohammed or Krishna etc. Just makes no sense to use a name so associated with a way of life if you don't prescribe to it.. regardless of the names prettiness or strength.
