Ah,
Icarus Ned would be so clunky and bold! I am not a huge fan of teh combo but it's like it went past clunk and landed on chic.
Anyway... I keep thinking I read Icabod... but it is
Icarus. I kinda like it because it is one of those weird oldies, even though it has legit mythological references. Kinda like
Barclay or Mycroft.
Of your list - the one I genuinely like the most is
Icarus Martin or
Icarus George... the middles just seem to give the whole name some credance and balance.
Icarus Theodore - the repeat of three syllables is a bit much and throws the balance off. A surname would help - especially if it were only one syllable.
Icarus Jacob - I don't like the repeated sound here... but it look classy.
Icarus George - Flows well and matches in style and sound.
Icarus Nathaniel - Old school sounding. Not bad, but I prefer the shorter middles.
Icarus John - Classy. Also a bit safe. If you didnt like
George or
Martin,
John would be the best if you want it to have sophistication.
Icarus Ned - Clunkity, clunk, clunk... in the best way possible.
Icarus Barnaby - While I love
Barnaby,
Icarus is enough of a statement that it tames
Barnaby down to an undesired level of normal.
Icarus Walter - I actually like this because it has personality... More of a character name to me though.
Icarus Martin - Works.
Martin ties up the sounds neatly, is classy but not over used and you don't have to worry about people shortening
Martin to
Marty... it keeps its stylishness.
Icarus Theo - too stunted to me.
Icarus Philip - Too pompous compared to the rest. Purely a personal reaction to the combo.
Icarus Milo - Works, but now the name borders on hipster.
Icarus Nathan -
Nathaniel would be a stronger option here. It works, but is weaker.
Icarus Henry - the most expected pairing, and therefore my least favorite. It sounds alright, but I would take the opportunity to embolden
Icarus, not soften it.
hope that helps!
