From what I can find, Hospidales is a transcription of Hospedales, which originates in latinate Europe, but has modern links in both Trinidad and Venezuela. It's modern use in the U.S. is limited to the South West Coast, with a concentration in California.
Hospes is a latin word for "guest" or "host" and Hospedes (sometimes seen as Hospida in other latin/romatic languages) means "Inn" or "Guesthouse".
Hospedales transcribes roughly to "innkeeper" and Hospidales has the same meaning, simply with a transcribed spelling.
My guess is that the surname is latin based- but used in French Creole, Spanish and Italian languages. It is not a common surname.
Hope that helps!
