-DS/DD: Marián Alexei & Matylda Constanța [5][ České Budějovice, Czech Republic]
Feodosia, Zhenya, and Silvio adopted five-year-old Marián and Matylda from České Budějovice, Czech Republic. It took about a week for them to warm up, but Feodosia felt like she had won the greatest prize when a sleepy Matylda curled beside her on the sofa an fell asleep with her head leaning against her shoulder. Marián didn't say anything when he saw his sister. He just climbed up on the other side of her and fell asleep with his head leaning against hers. It took a while of Feodosia marveling at them sleeping but eventually, she fell asleep too.
"Zhenya," Silvio whispered an hour or so later when they arrived home. "Look at this." Zhenya stepped into the den to see them and then both boys immediately pulled out their phones to get pictures.
"I kind of want to do to the dad thing where you pick up your kids and take them to bed, but we would scare them if they woke up," Zhenya lamented quietly.
"We'll wake them up gently and then we can probably carry them there if they are alert enough to understand what's happening. Give it time. Maybe next time they'll be comfortable enough with you that you can just pick them up."
"Next time," Zhenya mused out loud with a smile.
You can mix up middle name styles any way you want. Because they're adopted, the names don't have to "match" or anything.
