Ryder Stefan, grandson to some members of our church.

I think Ryder and Stefan are from different planets. They don't go together at all, in my book.

I don't like Ryder. It's trying so hard. Also, it reminds me of the moving-truck company.

Your thoughts, opinions, raves, rants ... ?

The name Ryder has always seemed so silly to me. It's baffling as to why it's on the Top 100, even near the bottom.

It definitely sounds like a rebel / bad boy name. I like it even though I wouldn't use Ryder for many reasons. Stefan is handsome and underused in my neck of the woods.

Exactly. Ryder tries too hard. I hate boys' names that want to hit you over the head with their masculinity. Although I also dislike those I find not masculine enough. I like a balance.

Stefan just annoys me. I hate Steven and Stephen, but Stefan adds an annoy factor.

Hmm yes I see what you are saying. I like both names, but together, you're right, they are discordant. Although they are both sort of OTT "sexy" names to me...but one is cowboy and one is suave-European. Sometimes I rather like two different styles put together, but this one is meh.

Yeah exactly! I hate cowboy names. Or at least those I deem to be cowboy, it's always a matter of opinion.
