[Opinions] Josephine vs Josephina
Some of you may now that I've held a longtime interest on the name Josephine as a way to honor a female family member named Jo. However, lately I have found Josephina to be prettier. My problem is that I already like a lot of names with an -a ending, or at least just the -a ending sound.
What are your thoughts? Also, what about these combos?
Amelia Josephine vs Amelie Josephina
Ada Josephine vs Adeline Josephina

I prefer Josephina. Sounds not only prettier to me, but somehow more like a name in its own right - Josephine has this feeling of feminine=diminutive that a lot of -ine feminizations have for me.
I would use the combos with two -a endings. They're fine. Ada Josephina.
Amelia Josephina is maybe too rhymey but Ada J. is not. Say it with a surname - Ada Josephina Surname. IMO not overdone at all.

I love the name Josephine. :) I do prefer it to Josephina, but in case another opinion is also something you'd like, I feel I should add that my 8yo son prefers Josephina (it's one of his favourite names).
I prefer Amelia Josephine and Ada Josephine, but I also prefer Amelia to Amelie and Ada to Adeline. Of the combos, Amelia Josephine is my favourite.

I prefer Josephina.
Actually, Josepha is one of my favorite names ever. I like Josephine, but I find it boring in comparison. Josephina is a nice middle ground.
I have found that almost all of my favorite girl names end with an -a as well, but I don't see how that's really a "problem". You can't help what you're drawn to!
Amelie Josephina and Ada Josephine are my preferences among these, Amelie Josephina being my favorite of the four.

The problem is that I don't like names with similar endings together. It becomes too rhymey for me.
Josefina
Can I just say that while I would be more likely to use Josephine, I'd opt for the spelling Josefina over Josephina, which strikes me as heavy. Josefina is spritely and the f makes it look slender and elegant. I also like Josefine (Danish).
The same goes for Serafina v Seraphina for me.
I have long admired the combo Josefina Elisabeth.
Ada Josephine is lovely.
