[Opinions] Random BAs
Two of my dds know people with new babies:Blanks -- This is Anna's English teacher's baby. Blanks is her maiden name. Anna says she's a bit surprised that her teacher didn't do a better job of naming, lol. I tend to agree. I can't imagine calling my child Blanks. That's what mns are for. Still, it's by far the most distinctive of the bunch.Emily Grace -- This babe is still in the NICU but doing well. While spelled correctly, her name makes me want to zone out. Just proof that many new parents have no idea what is or has been popular ... or perhaps don't care.Alayna -- Now I'll admit this one makes me want to scream. Is this supposed to be Alaina or Elena? Either way, it looks dumbed down.

Blanks is so... why can't you use that as a middle name. I would not want to be named Blanks. Emily Grace is boring, but it's not bad. I know a girl named Elayna, so Alayna isn't so bad to me. :P

Blanks?!?! Seriously...? This would be OK as a middle name, given that it has family significance, but it sounds ridiculous as a first name - like they couldn't think of a name so just left it Blank.Emily Grace is fine, but as you say it's pretty blandAlayna sounds pretty byt I prefer the spelling Alaina.

Exactly. I was dumbfounded too. I first thought of blank space, to go blank or shooting blanks. It's just so odd. It doesn't even sound good.

Blanks -- that's hilarious! I'm fond of ridiculous names, myself, though I wouldn't use them. Emily Grace -- splah... it's the usual. Alayna -- just weird. I don't know why all these feminine forms of Alan are so popular all of a sudden. I would use Alanis or Lana.
