I know Brits and Australians pronounce Isobel properly, but a lot of Americans would probably pronounce it the same as Isabel (since Isobel is much more common in the UK than the USA). I'm not a native English-speaker, though, and I keep mispronouncing it too.

I think Isabel is about 300% prettier than Isobel. When I see Isobel, my mind says ih-ZOH-bell. It's slightly awk without being abhorrent. I feel like an Isobel would be more bitchy than an Isabel.

I love Isobel. I love this spelling. It's on my girls list if I ever have another daughter. I like the nn Izzy.

I like all spellings of Isabel. Isobel is beautiful and fresh, it could be nice to notice that it's more popular, because Isabel and Isabella are soo popular, though beautiful. Isobel is quite unique name for me, as well as Isobella. Isobel Mabel isn't bad, but there is -bel on the end of each name and it sounds a bit weird, but they are great names in my opinion. Isobel Lucy is cute and somehow aristocratic. The combo which first comes to my mind is Isobel Louisa. Or Isobel Louise, however Louise is overused as a mn, so I think Isobel Louisa sounds better.

I think it's gorgeous. It appeals to me much more than Isabelle or Isabel.

Isobel Mabel is a bit off to me, because of the -bel -bel ending, even if they don't sound the same the shape throws me off. Isobel Lucy is adorable.

I know an Isobel Anne and an Isabel Jean. Jean works well - nice Scottish vibe - but Anne runs together uncomfortably.

It seems a pretty straight forward name, but I've been called Isabella (which I detest!) and even Elizabeth before by people! How they mix up Isabel with Elizabeth is beyond me! And I'm always asked how to spell it, which is annoying. My nicknames were Bel and Izzy.

I don't like the combo Isabel Mabel - the sounds are too repetitive. Isobel Lucy is nice enough, and the names go together. Maybe a middle name ending in "a" would go nicely as well :)

I much prefer Isobel to Isabelle but I'm slowly growing less fond of it after meeting a girl named Isobel and just not liking it as much as I thought I would. Plus, the popularity of Isabelle and Isabella is doing my head in!

I love Isobel! I like both Isabel and Isabelle, too (I go between spellings). I prefer Isi/Izzie as a nn, though. Isobel Mabel is too rhymey for me, but I love Isobel Lucy!

Isobel is my favorite version of this name. I love the look of it. So clean and pretty. Isabelle has the extra frill, yes, but it's just not as attractive as Isobel to me.

In the U.S. the spelling Isobel sees very little use, so over here it would be almost exotic. I definitely like it better than Isabel (which, to me, looks incomplete); but Isabelle (more familiar here) is actually my favorite variant, despite the fact that I'm drawn to names with an 'o' in them.

Isobel Mabel is a bit redundant (both names end in -bel), and the last 'l' of Isobel runs into the beginning 'L' of Lucy, so I don't actually like either combo.

I dislike Isabelle, Isabel is only slightly better, but Isobel is rather nice. Still not my favorite, but it's kind of pretty. Ysabel is my favorite spelling, and I'm warming to Ishbel.

Isobel is my favorite spelling variant. Not a lot of girls' names have 'o' in them, maybe that's why. Plus, it's bluer-feeling than Isabelle/Isabel :^P

I like Isobel Mabel.

I love Isobel and this spelling especially since it complements our Scottish surname. I'd say if I were to have another dd, I'd definitely consider this although in the end, it's probably way too common (factor in other spellings) to use. I was thinking of Mary Isobel and using both names or Mary Bel/ Maribel. I dunno; I just love both of those names together.

I enjoy Isobel. This spelling helps give it some weight - I find Isabel/Isabelle to be really airy and bubbly. Isobel is much more serious.

Isobel Mabel is interesting - usually I dislike combos where the names have mirrored endings, but this is satisfying in some way. Isobel Lucy is nice, but Isobel Mabel is more intriguing.
