Welcome back, everyone! It's time for round three to commence, and with it, a new chapter in our royal families' lives.
Everyone gets a son this round!
The Prompt
The Monarch and Consort are welcoming a son into their family! Thankfully, this time both mother and child remain in good health. But not long after the boy's birth, rumours start to flutter that an old enemy might be planning to wage war! How is the Monarch reacting to these disquieting news? Do the people believe war really is coming, or are they taking it in stride?

Ioncu was zooming Vyvienne around the room and listening to the sounds of her squealing as Dariena marked up another page of name ideas and scribbled them out again one by one.
"It's unsettling," she commented. "They're just worried."
Ioncu stopped and held the little girl on his hip. He fixed Dariena with a serious expression before saying, "I swear to you. I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize you or your position. Am I discontent here? Yes, you know I am. Would I do something to put you or your family in danger? No. Absolutely not."
Dariena looked at her older brother. Ioncu had been upset for years. She couldn't remember a time when he was truly happy since before their parents died. He had always felt jaded or malcontent with something. But since Vyvienne's birth he had mellowed out a bit. He loved her and his anger had dissipated in the days since she started to visit him regularly.
Ioncu put Vyvienne back on her feet and pulled out a chair adjacent to his sister. He flipped it around backwards, straddling it to sit down.
“Your Highness,” Dariena said with a smirk as she took note of the position.
“Don’t make fun,” Ioncu retorted. “I’m a prisoner. There is no call to impress. I sit however I want.”
“I wasn’t making fun of you. I wouldn’t,” Dariena replied more sympathetically. “But you’re doing better now. You aren’t groundskeeping.”
They had allowed him a house within the perimeters of Bruna Castle's large, stone walls. Dariena had asked for it and Ciprian had granted it be built how she pleased. She chose something reminiscent of their former home- a villa-like little place with a parlor, bedroom, kitchen, washroom, and a veranda. It wasn’t the luxury he had been used to when he was a Prince of Veraseng, but it wasn’t the same way he had been treated when he first came to Bejagat either.

A few weeks after Efren's birth, a messenger from the northern city Keenor arrived at Ayen. The messenger brought news of vampire scouts coming south over the mountains. One thousand years ago a similar event had caused panic in the north. At that time, however, the vampires had seemed to decide that the southlands weren't worth it as they went back to their home not long after their arrival.
According to the residents of Keenor, this time seemed different. The messenger says that the scouts have been around for longer than they stayed the last time and were showing no signs of leaving when he set off to warn the other cities. Despite this, Airdan is fairly unconcerned about war. He believes that the northern cities are just panicking again and that there isn't much of a serious threat. The rest of the kingdom generally agrees with him, seeing no reason to fear an army they have never seen and that went away peacefully the last time it came south.

Incensed, Cadfael immediately summoned all of his bannermen and told his kingdom to prepare for yet another war.

Demi consults with her advisers, hoping to find a diplomatic solution, but of course also strengthens border defenses. The people of Lai Shi are buoyed by joyous news of the new prince and at the same time both reassured and somewhat worried by increased military patrols and frequent calls for new recruits.

Farin doesn't wory much about the war. He'll cross that bridge when he comes to it, he thinks. Ibûn is quite the opposite; he's always prepared for the worst. He's managed to convince Farin there is a very large change that there might actually be a war, so they've started to make plans; mobilise the army, think about their children etc. They're planning to take Eira and Einar to their mother. Tyr is only very young and is not accustomed to many people outside the royal quarters, since he's not been outside that part of the mountain much, so he must stay with them, hidden away even more. But Tyr is a very rebellious toddler and he's already come close to escaping the royal quarters by himself. They're worried about how they're going to manage were there to actually be a war.
Meanwhile, their young son is doing very well. He is Eira's half-brother, sharing their mother.

Nicolas immediately took action so this wouldn't happen. However, he is not sure that he was fast enough...

For the first weeks the royal parents as well as his older siblings were floating on cloud no.9 following the birth of the newest member of their family. Unfortunately this didn't last for too long, shortly after little Magnus turned one month old the rumors began to spread over the kingdom, Peter's father and the rest of Ribbing family were preparing a revolt, apparently with little to no chances of establishing the Royal House of Ribbing they planned to overthrow the monarchy and establish Sweden as a republic.
The news upset Lovisa and Peter tremendously, but after just a few short weeks it was clear that the support of the plans of Ribbing family among the nation was little to none. The whole nation breathing out in relief, until the next ruse from the Ribbing family will come.

When Caterina cautiously approached her husband and told him that she was expecting, it was all Michele could do to hide his nervousness. But fortunately, this pregnancy was a surprisingly easy one, and both Caterina and the child she was carrying experienced no problems or complications. It was a tremendous relief for Michele, as he was positively swamped by pressing business left and right. Vico had recently returned from a border skirmish, and he brought with him reports from the east. There were rumours that the neighbouring city-state of Tellino was planning to wage war, and Vico feared that it would be against their hometown.
It was during one of these hushed conversations with his brother that Michele was interrupted by a breathless Perotto. Caterina was starting to go into labour, and Perotto, panicking, ran to his Pappa for help. Michele immediately went to attend to his wife, while Vico fetched the midwife and grabbed a doctor along the way as well, just in case. When the boy was born, wailing and healthy, Michele had wanted to name him after Vico, but Vico declined, asking instead that the child be named after a friend of his who had recently succumbed to consumption, Leonardo Scierra.
Palazzo Manco rejoiced over young Leonardo's birth, but alas, there is no rest for the wicked. Within the same month, Giacomo Grazia, one of Vico's fellow condottieri stopped by on his way from Tellino and brought with him an unhappy dose of bad news. Apparently, the Doge of Tellino was searching for people to fight his war for him, and Giacomo had come to meet him. But when he found out that the war was to be held against Salvi, he declined the offer and set off to find another employer. While Michele had not known Giacomo for long and had little reason to believe his tidings, Vico and Giacomo were once fellow mercenaries under Leonardo Scierra's leadership and had repeatedly put their lives into each other's hands in the heat of battle. Vico persuaded his brother to hire him to defend their city for when Tellino would wage their attack, and Michele agreed, asking that both men also discreetly spread word for other condottieri to come to Salvi where work awaits them.
