To be honest, all I remember is looking the name up in several places and finding at least three that said "unisex".
I know it is used on girls today, rarely. So, it might just be a male name used unisexly in the modern world.
I do know that some of the root verbs for the Hebrew translation are feminine, so that could lend to a female use of the name. In general it is reserved for boys, because of the historical concept of the "third son" in the Biblical
